Cubism is exposed at the Centre Pompidou
The Centre Pompidou offers an exhibition around one
of the most prominent and influential of the 20th century, artistic movements
Cubism. Picasso, Duchamp, Picabia, Delaunay... Artists to discover and
rediscover the 17 October 2018 February 25, 2019.

inédite de l’un des mouvements fondateurs de l’histoire de l’art moderne : le
cubisme. L’exposition témoigne des échanges entre ses artistes et leurs

quelque 300 œuvres des principaux artistes cubistes, tels que Picasso,
Braque, Derain, Laurens, Delaunay, Léger, Picabia, Duchamp...

unprecedented crossing of one of the founding movements in the history of
modern art: Cubism." The exhibition testifies to trade between its
artists and their correspondents of intellectual and social contemporary
bringing together some 300 works of the leading Cubist artists, such as
Picasso, Braque, Derain, Laurens, Delaunay, light, Picabia Duchamp...
Dans un parcours chronologique, éclairant pour le
plus grand public les concepts clés, les outils et les procédures qui ont
assuré l’unité du mouvement, l’exposition réunit pour la première fois les

key concepts, tools and procedures that ensured the unity of the movement,
the exhibition brings together for the first time the most significant works
and series most significant. It highlights the character both experimental
and collective founder movement. The Cubist world is exposed in its social
dimensions and historical from exemplary works and documentary resources.
Public plunges into the heart of the relationship of cubism with other fields
of thought, other literary, poetic and musical forms. It explores the
sensitivity of the movement to modernity, the present and the future, and
focuses on his relationship to scientific and technical discoveries
