Exhibition
Gauguin, the Alchemist,
from October 11, 2017,
to January
22, 2018 at the Grand Palais
Paul Gauguin (1848-1903), painter,
Post-Impressionist, is considered the leader of the school of Pont-Aven, the
inspiratory of Nabis, and one of the major French artists of the 19th
century. This exhibition traces his amazing career and his explorations of
the arts the most various: painting, drawing, engraving, sculpture, ceramic,
etc. Gathered masterpieces highlight the work of Gauguin on the matter and
his creative process, a work full of repetition of motifs and themes.
There is 5 paintings of Gauguin that I did apreciate in that exhibition

RODIN EXHIBITION IN THE GRAND PALAIS OF PARIS22 March - 31 July 2017
It is the moment to see before the end the
exhibition of the sculptor Auguste Rodin commemoration of its centenary in
the Grand Palais of Paris.
Paris and the bridges on the river Seine
A tour of Paris in a minibus with your
private driver guide or a private walking tour with your official guide will
always give you the opportunity to see a bridge in Paris. They are 32 and as
the river Seine is crossing Paris from the east to the west through the
center of the city, it is impossible not to admire one.
They are all different and have their
particular history. This one the “Pont Alexandre III” is built in 1900 and
has a unique metallic arcade crossing the river. It is also famous to be the
most decorated in Paris. Woody Allen used it a lot in the movie “Midnight in
Paris”. 1900 is also when the Grand Palais and Petit Palais were inaugurated.
The
Pont Neuf (meaning the new bridge)
is the oldest in Paris!! But it was called new because in the 16th
century the modern aspect was that no houses or shops were built on it.
